The College is open to visitors:
from November to April
Monday to Friday 10:30 am – 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Sunday only by appointment
from May to October
Monday to Friday 10:30 am – 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
1st and 3rd Sunday of the month: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
2nd and 4th Sunday of the month closed
Visitors may view Newman’s rooms:
– his former library which today contains a specialized Newman library, available to students and scholars, and an exhibition of Newman representations, busts, prints, etching and paintings of persons and places related to Newman, and many Newman memorabilia.
– his private room and
– his chapel where he spent to much of his time in search for the truth, and where he received the grace and happiness of being received into what he believed to be “the one true Fold of Christ” (LD XI, 5).
In the College are five guest rooms with self-catering facilities available for those who wish to pray and/or study at this place as Newman did. The guests may participate in the daily prayer life of the community (Divine Office, adoration of the Bl. Sacrament, Mass in the chapel or parish Church) and use the specialised Newman library.
Groups up to 18 people are welcome for day retreats.
